See An 8-Year-Old Kylie Jenner Sing ‘Hollaback Girl’ Onstage With Gwen Stefani

Ya know, just your totally normal preteen concert experience

Back before she was a social media maven who sold coveted lip kits, dated Tyga, and drove Ferraris, Kylie Jenner was just a normal preteen. One who, in 2005, jammed to Gwen Stefani’s smash album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. and couldn’t resist seeing the former No Doubt frontwoman on her Harajuku Lovers Tour.

Except, even back then, Kylie had a flair for living the ~fabulous~ life -- so instead of just seeing Gwen live from a regular concertgoer’s perspective, she got to join in the fun onstage. Ah, the life of a budding celebrity.

On Tuesday, Kylie shared the most epic throwback on her personal app and website: a video of her as an 8-year-old at Gwen’s concert, where she was plucked onstage to sing part of “Hollaback Girl.”

“My first concert ever was Gwen Stefani in 2005!” Kylie wrote. “During the ‘B-A-N-A-N-A-S’ part of ‘Hollaback Girl,’ she brought a bunch of girls onstage to sing with her. One of her backup dancers put me on his shoulders and then Gwen put the mic in front of me to sing. I was so little! But it was cool because I ended up going on Gwen’s concert DVD, Harajuku Lovers Live.”

Check out the full vid of the performance below, and catch Kylie at the 4:08 mark -- she’s the one wearing a sparkly shrug and proclaiming, “I ain’t no hollaback girl!” atop a strange man’s shoulders.
