'Machete Kills' Comic-Con Sizzle Reel: Michelle Rodriguez Kicks A** Per Usual

"It takes a b**** to make a b****."

We'd expect nothing less spitfire than this from Michelle Rodriguez, a girl who has pretty much established herself as the Hollywood lady a**kicker with penchant for girlfights.

Ahem ...

Her character in "Machete Kills" is no exception to her running catalog of tough chicks. In the upcoming Robert Rodriguez film, the second installment of his "Machete" series (the third, tentatively titled "Machete Kills Again," will supposedly be the final installment), Michelle Rodriguez reprises her role as Shé, Machete's (Danny Trejo) strong female counterpart. And this time around, she's bigger and badder than ever.

In this new sizzle reel clip from San Diego Comic-Con (via MovieWeb) we see she-Rodriguez battle it out against Amber Heard in typical Rodriguez fashion — complete with over-the-top explosions and extremely un-P.C. one-liners. Color us completely unsurprised but also still mightily amused.

On a related note, Rodriguez is, appropriately, a speaker for Entertainment Weekly's Women Who Kick A** Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 20, alongside Tatiana Maslany ("Orphan Black") and Danai Gurira ("The Walking Dead"), so we can probably expect s'more fun zingers still to come for our punch-slinging pal here.

"Machete Kills" opens in theaters Oct. 4.
