Anna Kendrick Joins Aubrey Plaza in the Upcoming Zom-Com 'Life After Beth'

Brad Pitt and Seth Rogen, step aside fellas! The latest zombie film is officially getting the girl power treatment.

Deadline reports that the upcoming horror-comedy "Life After Beth" has added some kick-ass female leads to its already impressive call sheet, including Anna Kendrick*, Molly Shannon and Cheryl Hines. These funny ladies will join "The To-Do List" star Aubrey Plaza, John C. Reilly, and Dane DeHaan in Jeff Baena's directorial debut, which is currently being filmed in L.A. (Fun fact — writer-director Baena is Plaza's real-life boyfriend. Cue: awwww).

"Life After Beth" follows Zach (DeHaan), a man who is mourning the death of his girlfriend, Beth (Plaza). But, as it is with everyone these days, Beth obviously comes back to life and stirs up some trouble.

Apart from this ultra-vague synopsis, no one really knows what this movie is about. But if the cast is any indication, we're in for some amazing one-liners and hilarious performances from our favorite comedians. We especially love the Plaza-Kendrick pairing and can't wait to see what types of on-screen shenanigans these ladies get themselves into. Did we mention their Twitter convos that we'd die to be a part of? (Pun completely intended).

Finally, what does Aubrey Plaza think of her newest project? "It's a really f**ked-up movie," she says. Well, we'll leave it at that then.

* While this news wasn't specifically pin-pointed, this could be the reason for the little "Twilight" gal switcheroo happening with Zach Braff's Kickstarter movie, which just lost a Kendrick and gained an Ashley Greene.
