First Cast Photo From Von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac' Mercifully Doesn't Involve Huge Gang Bang

Lars von Trier, the notoriously outspoken filmmaker who got himself temporarily banned from the Cannes Film Festival for comments he made about Nazis (oh Lars!), has a two-part sex epic coming out later this year called "Nymphomaniac." In a press release, er, released this morning (which clearly isn't connected to Cannes going on right now), it was announced that the two films would premiere in Copenhagen in December, along with the first official photo of the films' cast. Thankfully they aren't involved in some huge gang bang, but rather posed artfully, like a super perverse Gap ad.

Amongst the actors you can spot in the tableau are Shia LaBeaouf (underneath that tiny table on the left, Uma Thurman (is that her in the middle?), Udo Kier (looking up Uma's dress), Willem Dafoe (spilling water on his crotch in the middle — wait what?), Stellan Skarsgard (looking real drunk on the couch), Charlotte Gainsbourg (legs spread, to the right), and Christian Slater (who appears ready to mop up Charlotte's crotch — no, Christian, Willem is the one who spilled!) Adding to the sex dungeon Where's Waldo vibe is von Trier himself towards the back of the image, with a piece of tape covering his mouth. You know, because he's so controversial.

Other cast members who may or may not be in this silly photo (but are definitely in the actual movie): Jamie Bell, Connie Nielsen, Kate Ashfield and Jesper Christensen. No word yet on a domestic date, although Magnolia has already picked up the American distribution rights. Does that make you horny, baby, yeah?
