For the last three years, fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of the superhero sequel to end all superhero sequels, "Kick-Ass 2." And today, MTV and NextMovie are presenting the exclusive premiere of the first ever "Kick-Ass 2" trailer.

Now that's really kick-ass! (See what we did there?)

"Kick-Ass 2" officially hits theaters on August 16 and to say that we're excited would be a vast understatement. After all, the latest edition of writer Mark Millar's snarky look at wannabe heroes features the legendary Jim Carrey as club-wielding vigilante Colonel Stars and Stripes, as well as returning "Kick-Ass" stars like Aaron Johnson (shown here in full Kick-Ass gear alongside Carrey), Christopher Mintz-Plasse — striving to achieve his dream of becoming a supervillain — and, of course, breakout sensation Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit Girl.

Just like the franchise's first installment, fans can expect plenty of kick-assery and snappy one-liners from "Kick-Ass 2," including the line everyone's tween daughter will be quoting by suppertime tonight: "Oh, take your tampon out, Dave."
