An Even Greater Trailer For 'The Great Gatsby'

Baz Luhrmann has done it again.

You may recall that earlier this year, Luhrmann released the first teaser for his upcoming adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel 'The Great Gatsby." And that trailer was so cool, we had to put it number one on our list of the best trailers of 2012.

Just one problem with our list: We didn't expect that he would release a second new trailer today that's just as awesome.

Hey, what would "The Great Gatsby" be without an embarrassment of riches?

And this movie appears to have that in spades. First off, there's Leonardo DiCaprio, who is magnetic as the titular character, a high roller in the roaring '20s who may be harboring a dangerous secret — or several dangerous secrets. And then there's Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, both at the top of their game, as Nick Carraway and Daisy Buchanan. Most of all, though, there's the style, with every single frame of the trailer looking like a work of art suitable for immediate framing.

Add in some of Luhrmann's signature musical choices and you have what is shaping up to be one of the event films of 2013. As Mulligan says in the first trailer, "you always look so cool." She might as well have been talking about the film itself. Check it out, courtesy of CNN:
