It's almost here — and no, we're not talking about Thanksgiving (though we hear that's coming up, too). We're talking about Black Friday. While the scariest biggest shopping day of the year can certainly bring out the worst in even the most well-intentioned shoppers, with a little pre-planning it can prove not too painful and very worthwhile.
So, without further adieu, here's our expert gift-buying guide for the best deals on all things movie-related. From DVDs to "Twilight" T-shirts to video games, our Black Friday road map has you covered this holiday season. And even though giving gifts is its own reward (or whatever your parents told you), we think you might want to snap up a few of these for yourself, because you've been very good this year … right?
1. DVDs Under $2
[caption id="attachment_155198" align="alignright" width="300"] Sony[/caption]
$1.99 won't even get you a decent cup of coffee anymore, but during Best Buy's Black Friday sale, for under $2.00 each, you can get some pretty fabulous DVDs. With more than 50 titles to choose from, including some of our faves like "Paranormal Activity," "The Social Network" and "Batman Begins," there's something for every movie lover on your list.
2. Toshiba 40" Classic LCD HDTV
[caption id="attachment_155199" align="alignright" width="300"] Best Buy[/caption]
What good is having a bunch of amazing DVDs if you've got nothing to watch them on? For all of those out there who could use a tech upgrade in the TV department, this one's for you. It's 40". It's high-def (of course). And it's more than half off. That's right, for Black Friday, this sexy flat-screen can be yours. Just think of how good those "Magic Mike" guys will look stripping on this screen.
3. Toshiba Smart WiFi-Ready Blu-ray Player
[caption id="attachment_155200" align="alignright" width="300"] Best Buy[/caption]
Once you've got your collection of $1.99 DVDs and your ridic HDTV, why not throw in this Blu-ray Player (which also plays DVDs, just in case you were wondering). As an added bonus, it can easily connect to your Netflix and HuluPlus accounts. The only downside is that you might never leave your house again.
4. Movie-Themed T-Shirts: Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off
[caption id="attachment_155201" align="alignright" width="300"] Hot Topic[/caption]
It's kind of bittersweet to see the "Twilight Saga" movies coming to a close, but you can help the story live on by stocking up on t-shirts that pay homage to everyone's favorite sparkling vamps, courtesy of Hot Topic. (OK, so there are other kinds of T-shirts on sale too, but can they really compare?) Take this Edward Temperature Top, for example, which features the vamp's (in)famous quote, "We're the same temperature now"-- printed as "We are," but whatever.
Price: $24.50 + $12.25 (with promo)

You can wear your Edward T-shirt while you watch, if it makes you feel better.
6. Slashed Prices on Hot Y.A. Fiction
Now that "The Hunger Games" is entering its second installment, we have to ask ourselves... what's the next "Hunger Games?" Duh. The answer likely lies here, on Amazon's list of the hottest teen (though we prefer the term young adult) fiction around. With these slashed prices there's no excuse for not reading... just as soon as you finish watching all those $1.99 DVDs that is.
7. Get 'Avengers' at the Lowest Price

Of course you can't hang with Katniss, but diss Black Widow! So snap up Marvel's latest classic, packed with a red-headed ScarJo and... you know... other people. This is one flick that can remind you, no matter how wild things get at your holiday table, it could always be worse. Like, you could be tasked with saving Earth. And then you probably wouldn't have time for that second piece of pie.
8. Hook Up with an iPad
You still don't have one yet? OK, so neither do we, but that's all going to change, because there are some cray-cray deals on this must-have item. For Black Friday only, you can snap up the iPad 2 wtih 16 GB for under $400. We kid you not. All hail Walmart.
