'Justice League' Is Coming in 2015!

If you thought the back-to-back excitement of "The Avengers" and "The Dark Knight Rises" made this year the best year for superhero movies ever, you ain't seen nothing yet, because it turns out this was just a prelude for yea real year of the superhero: 2015.

That's because The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Warner Bros. is moving forward with plans to release its long awaited "Justice League" movie in 2015 — the same summer Marvel will be unveiling "The Avengers 2."

Hell yeah!

Like "The Avengers," "Justice League" is a team consisting of some of the world's best known superheroes, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as Green Lantern, The Flash and Aquaman.

Unlike "The Avengers," however, which was the culmination of plotlines spread throughout several earlier Marvel films, "Justice League" will likely not be starring any of the previous solo versions of its famous heroes (with the possible exception of "Man of Steel's" Henry Cavill). Instead, Warner Bros. plans to use "Justice League" as a way to launch or re-launch new solo franchises for the DC Comics characters, essentially making it the beginning of a new shared on-screen universe.

Just who will be playing iconic characters like Batman and Wonder Woman is no doubt going to be a source of endless debate over the coming months, but with a script already in the works and a decision on a director expected soon, one thing is for sure: 2015 just became the most anticipated summer for movies ever.
