Ahoy! Fifth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Could Set Sail in Nov.

Shiver me timbers! Disney's most recent excursion to the Caribbean, "On Stranger Tides," brought in a billion bucks at the box office, so it seems only logical that they would want to harvest more pirate booty from the ocean floor.

No one could have guessed that they'd be flying the Jolly Roger as soon as November, though, which is exactly what Caribbean Business is reporting as the start date for the next "Pirates of the Caribbean" flick.

If true, this shooting commitment has The Film Stage speculating that the release for "Pirates 5" would be somewhere in the neighborhood of Summer 2014, with Captain Jack Sparrow lured back to the sea with a substantial $95 million payday (supposedly) for star Johnny Depp.

Caribbean Business also reports that the bulk of this new pirate jaunt will lens in sunny Puerto Rico, presumably so Depp can pluck whatever beautiful maidens he didn't ravage during the filming of "The Rum Diary." "On Stranger Tides" also shot partly in Puerto Rico, and the climate, atmosphere and crews have given producer Jerry Bruckheimer significant reason to ditch the usual Hawaiian locales the franchise has so famously exploited.

Even with gears turning for a quick start, it seems unlikely to kick off so soon without even a director attached. Now that their "Thin Man" remake is on the back-burner, Depp and "Tides" helmer Rob Marshall could reunite, while last year's rumor mill had more visionary choices like Tim Burton, Sam Raimi, and Alfonso Cuaron on the shortlist as well.

Whoever is ultimately put in charge, we're greatly anticipating the arrival of "Pirates of the Caribbean $$$."
