Thirty-one years ago, Marion, Sallah, Marcus, Belloq and a bespectacled college professor named Indiana Jones went searching for the biblical MacGuffin known as the Ark of the Covenant and unearthed one of the most popular movies of all-time.

Now you and perhaps those kids you didn't have (or were) the first time you saw it can experience the face-melting awesomeness of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in glorious IMAX, bigger and better than ever before, and Yahoo! Movies has the trailer that will lead you right to the loot in September.

With screens roughly the size of that boulder which chased Indy in the opening scene, IMAX might turn out to be the perfect format to experience the Saturday matinee-style adventure, even though Steven Spielberg shot it in 35mm in 1981.

The director was surprised by the blown up IMAX print, which had "definition in the shadows, which I had never seen before. And the shadows weren't murky and washed out; they were sharp as a tack."

He's turned into such a convert that he's already said he's considering shooting his next sci-fi epic, "Robopocalypse," in IMAX 3-D.

Now, if only they could do a high-definition restoration of the script for "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"…
