Paul Dano Will Still Drink Your Milkshake

It's been five years since "There Will Be Blood" hit theaters, but Paul Dano still can't escape the biggest catchphrase to come out of the Oscar-nominated movie — and probably of that year — "I drink your milkshake!"

During our interview for Dano's upcoming romantic comedy "Ruby Sparks," the star told us that fans still recite the quote to him, made famous by Daniel Day-Lewis in the film, and then some...

"Sometimes it's very strange," he tells NextMovie. "I mean, I've been at Knicks games and somebody yells [it], and I'm like, 'Aw, come on, man.'"

But the dairy treats don't stop there.

"I've been sent milkshakes before," Dano admits. "[I'll say] I didn't order this, and the waiter will say, 'No, it's from some guy down the thing' ... It's weird because it's like how do I respond to that? I don't know what they want from me or if they're just trying to be funny. What do I say, you know?"

Of course, Dano looks on the bright side, adding, "There could be worse things. It's always awkward, but it could be worse."

In "Ruby Sparks," Dano stars as Calvin Weir-Fields, a young writer looking for his next great novel. Calvin creates a character named Ruby Sparks who is so lifelike to him, especially when she comes to life in his apartment the next day. As far as we know, no milkshakes were involved in the making of this film, but it still looks pretty sweet.
