Is Fashion Week the New Oscars of Celeb Sightings?

Fashion Weekwent full speed ahead this week and now that it's over, I'm finally catching my breath.

As always, there was no shortage of celebrity guests at the shows, parties, or other events but this season still seemed a little dry compared to past seasons. Perhaps it was the Grammys in Los Angeles that interfered, or the Berlin Film Festival happening in Germany now. Still, I had plenty of awesome encounters.

I knew up and coming menswear designer Simon Spurr would be a good place for hot, young male stars, so on Sunday night, I braved the harsh weather outside Milk Studios. Musicians Joe Jonas and Gabe Saporta were among some of the guests, as well as my buddy Kellan Lutz. My favorite of the night was "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus (looking clean and completely devoid of a certain ear necklace, I might add). He took a moment to pose for a picture in the snow, even though he wasn't wearing a coat.

"I didn't know it was going to snow or I would have brought a jacket," he confessed before heading inside.

Tuesday, I hit up the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tents in Lincoln Center for Badgley Mischka and Vera Wang. Kelly Osbourne, Kate Mara, Shay Mitchell, and the legendary Joan Rivers attended Badgley Mischka. After the show Joan hammed it up for the waiting paparazzi by whipping out her Fashion Police badge and declaring a Fashion Emergency. I immediately regretted not getting dressed up that morning.

Thankfully, despite the fact that I was dressed more weather appropriate than Fashion Week appropriate, Joan still posed for a picture with me.

Academy Award nominee Viola Davis showed up for the Vera Wang show. I knew she was in town for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman but had no idea she would be making a cameo at the tents, too!

Viola shed her coat as soon as she stepped out of her car so she could pose for pictures, and although her publicist was rushing her inside so she wouldn't be late, I still got the chance to wish her luck at the Oscars.

Coincidentally, I heard her tell the press she was still on the market for an Oscar dress. Maria Sharapova, Renee Zellweger and Leighton Meester were also among those seated in the front row for Vera Wang.

Last but not least during my Fashion Week extravaganza was the Marchesa show at The Plaza.

Marchesa dresses some of the hottest young actresses during awards season so I had my fingers crossed for more Oscar nominees, but no such luck. However I did get to meet former "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen as well as "Step Up" star and Mrs. Channing Tatum herself Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

While taking a picture, I mentioned to Jenna that she must be freezing without a coat in her cute mini-dress. Not only did she agree but, as she went to take more pictures with other waiting fans, her publicist chimed in, "Let's all remember that!" Jenna ended up putting her coat back on after our picture anyway, so I really lucked out.

Even though Fashion Week was pretty tame this season, these few highlights will tide me over until the tents go back up again in September.
