Effie Trinket Totally Knows Who I Am!

Like most of the gang at NextMovie, I'm psyched for the March release of "The Hunger Games."

The franchise has been referred to as the next 'Twilight' and I actually agree, if only based on the hype surrounding it. As you may have guessed, I've spent the past three years trying to meet the entire cast of "Twilight" and even though I'm nearly there, it's taken all that time and I may never finish.

I refuse to let this happen with "The Hunger Games." Refuse!

When I heard Elizabeth Banks – Effie Trinket herself – would be in town promoting her latest flick, "Man on a Ledge," I knew that it was now or never. Elizabeth was doing the usual appearances: "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Live! With Kelly," as well as an unusual stop on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

I started by staking out "Live! With Kelly" but the crowd was a little overzealous and Elizabeth wound up only signing a few autographs from her car window.

I anticipated a pretty thin crowd at "The Daily Show" since they usually focus on political guests most fans don't check their guest schedule. Thankfully, I was right.

I arrived at the studio around more than an hour before guests typically show up. Since "The Daily Show" is not my usual turf, I wanted to make sure I was well-situated so Elizabeth couldn't just drive past me this time. This wound up being unnecessary, but I'm still glad I did it.

After she finished signing some autographs for the autograph sellers (who often use my tactics to collect), I asked if we could take a picture. Of course, she said yes.

Better yet, she remembered me from the morning because she asked, "Didn't I see you earlier?"

I told her that she might have seen me at "Live! With Kelly" but that I hadn't gotten to meet her since she stayed in the car. Elizabeth was really nice and looked gorgeous (more gorgeous than I expected, actually), and I thanked her quickly before she headed inside for the taping.

I think Effie Trinket would be proud of my determination and success, no?
