'Like Crazy' Star Felicity Jones Falls for Howard Hughes Film

Howard Hughes was a billionaire, a genius, a film director, an aviation magnate, a ladies' man, and eventually a recluse crippled by his anxiety and germaphobia.

From "The Aviator" to "Iron Man," Hughes' influence as a character is immeasurable, and it seems like every great director wants a crack at his or her own Hughes film. Warren Beatty has been chipping away at a Howard Hughes film for 25 years, a tenacity that Hughes himself would find admirable.

In the past two months, though, the unnamed Beatty flick is picking up steam, and it looks like he's finally found his leading lady in "Like Crazy" star Felicity Jones. (Read our interview with her here.)

It was reported that as recently as last September Rooney Mara would star as a young woman whose attentions turn to the older Hughes after she initially gets involved with his driver. Beatty will direct and star, which he hasn't done since 1998's "Bulworth" with Halle Berry.

Now that the "Tempest"-uous Jones is set to star as the love interest, who will play the young driver who gets ditched for his bizarro boss? Deadline reports that just a few of the names being tossed around include Alden Ehrenreich and Justin Timberlake. (Whether or not JT will be returning to the studio or his Lonely Island until the funk of "In Time" fades is another question entirely.)

So, what do you think? Will it be creepy to see this Next Factor actress playing the lover of an elderly eccentric who stopped cutting his toenails long ago? And does this put the kibosh on Christopher Nolan's Hughes project?
