Why play hooky when you can play "Ferris Bueller's Day Off: The Board Game," a tabletop adaptation by artist Maxim Dalton of the 1980s teen comedy about taking a break from the tedious teenage routine. The game is part of a John Hughes tribute at Los Angeles' Gallery1988. That means you wouldn't be dropping a lot of money on a board game, but on art!

The style echoes another viral adaptation of a popular program: Dyna Moe's Mad Men illustrated. The Bueller board has the warm, used, and yellowed look of a Monopoly box excavated after decades buried in the back of your grandparents' linen closet.
