She's been replaced by Rooney Mara for the Hollywood remake, but original "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" Noomi Rapace has another shot to make it big in America. Jeremy Renner himself is the loose-lipped gossip with the scoop on her first Hollywood movie: he's playing Hansel to Noomi's Gretel in the hilariously titled "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters."

The film is from Norwegian director Tommy Wirkola, who blended horror and humor with Nazi zombie flick "Dead Snow." The new movie will reportedly have a similar tone.

Renner spilled the casting details to a Norwegian website this week, while in Venice to promote "The Town", and the quotes were uncovered by Twitch.

"I liked 'Dead Snow', and I like seeing that Scandinavian directors have a combination of horror and humor," Renner revealed. "I think 'Hansel and Gretel' will be awesome. I play him and Noomi Rapace plays Gretel. They have become adults, are damned and going on witch hunting."
