'127 Hours' One Hour Too Long for Queasy Fest-goers

Last time Danny Boyle directed a movie he won a whole load of Oscars. This time his prize may be panic attacks and nausea.

Like "The Exorcist," "The Blair Witch Project" and "Pulp Fiction" before it, Boyle's latest film, "127 Hours," has been making audience members sick as they face the curious case of Aron Ralston.

The real-life adventurer, played by James Franco, got into a sticky situation while mountaineering in Utah, when he trapped his arm under a boulder and had no hope of rescue. He was forced to take pretty drastic action to free himself - we'll avoid spoiling how - and now IndieWire is reporting that the film adaptation of his ordeal is troubling festival goers at Telluride.

Fox Searchlight's Michelle Hooper tells the site, "From what I understand, an older gentleman was light-headed at the first screening (Galaxy) and the medics helped him calm down. Second screening at the Palm was a young woman (maybe 19 or 20) who had a panic attack. Paramedics attended to both people."

Still, Boyle probably knows all about making audiences feel a little queasy - after all, he sent Ewan McGregor down a filthy toilet in "Trainspotting," featured another filthy commode in "Slumdog Millionaire" and was even more unpleasant to his characters in zombie movie "28 Days Later."

The movie hits theaters on November 5th. You'd probably be well advised to bring a sick bag or two.
