Nick And Judy From 'Zootopia' Are Kinda Canon After All

Thanks to a deleted scene

Disney's Zootopia is still dominating the box office two weeks after its initial debut, and it's easy to see why. For starters, the film tackles hard-hitting topics like racism and feminism in ways both kids and adults can understand.

And while that in and of itself is amazing, fans are more focused on shipping the two leads, bunny Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). Seriously, it seems the entire Internet is rooting for Judy and Nick to be an actual couple, which — SPOILER — they never truly become in the movie. Instead, they're just super good friends and partners on the Zootopia police force. But the people want more.

Well, it turns out there was a scene that didn't make the final cut, but if it had, Nick x Judy would've been canon.

Twitter user @Nick_WYLD tweeted at director Rich Moore an image from DeviantArt featuring Nick meeting Judy's parents, and her calling him her "boyfriend."

The adorable artwork was done by Lucia Lucesoli.

Moore responded to @Nick_WYLD by dropping a major truth bomb on the fandom.

Naturally, fans started freaking out about this, so I hope Moore does include the deleted scene on the DVD. Until then, we'll have to settle for all the fan fiction and fan art gracing the Internet.
