What2Watch: Another Season In Hell On Fox

We're likely going to get an entirely new audience tuning in to Hell's Kitchen (Fox, 9 PM) for its fourth season, because instead of having its season begin after American Idol goes home for the summer, it's now following TV's top-rated show.

Hell's Kitchen doesn't take itself nearly as seriously as Top Chef. While the latter show treats mistakes by its contenders as inexplicable errors from the best young chefs in America, the cooks here are edited to be bumblers who only gradually improve under the whip of Gordon Ramsay. On the premiere, the new cast is eavesdropped on by Ramsay in disguise, and as always, they may believe they know what to expect from the king of kitchen rages, but actually seeing it firsthand is another matter entirely. Hard as it may be to believe after the first episode, one of these people is actually going to be hired by Ramsay at the end.

American Idol (Fox, 8 PM): The final nine, having lost some of its unpredictability with the end of Chikezie's run, tackles the music of Dolly Parton. I'm sure they rehearsed from 9 to 5.

Beauty and the Geek (CW, 8 PM): With beauties and geeks again competing on teams as nature and God intended, we see the geeks giving advice on Loveline while the beauties have to present science projects.

The Biggest Loser (NBC, 8 PM): What does a trip to Australia have to do with the usual themes of this series? Well, it's a long flight, so maybe this 2-hour show will kill some time on the plane. A race around Sydney is part of this week's challenge.

Big Brother 9 (CBS, 9 PM): Natalie's tenure as Head of Household is like an old kingdom where the monarch dies and suddenly there's a 6-year-old boy running the show. Except the kid wouldn't have breasts the size of the Goodyear blimp.

Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 9 PM): Kylie Minogue performs on the results show, which would be a bigger deal in almost every other country on earth. Adam Carolla is quickly approaching Master P levels of survivability.

Last Restaurant Standing (BBC America, 9 PM): The final five teams must come up with distinctive ways to brand their restaurants, and then go out and promote them.

Secrets That Sell (HGTV, 9 PM): A family wants to move to the country, but must unload the old homestead first.

Street Hunters (TruTV, 9 PM): The adventures of Lucciano, a bounty hunter in Los Angeles and an ex-con himself.

The Universe (History, 9 PM): Nebulas, nebulae ... whatever may look like pretty clouds of gas, but within them, the birth and death of stars takes place. Cosmic.

Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern (Travel, 10 PM): Zimmern heads to Bolivia. They don't eat coca leaf there, do they?

College Hill: Atlanta (BET, 10 PM): The kids go on a camping trip in order to speed the bonding process. Let me guess: two to a sleeping bag.

CSI: Miami (CBS, 10 PM): Conclusion of last night's story: The team tries to find the kidnapped Calleigh; Horatio deals with his spot of bother in Brazil.

Deliver Me (Discovery Health, 10 PM): A woman wants to have another baby despite cervical cancer and a looming hysterectomy; another woman is diagnosed with "cervical incompetence." Wow, I have any number of things I can say about that, none of them very tasteful.

Explorer (National Geographic, 10 PM): Everyone knows about the 5000 year old Iceman found in the Alps after a melting glacier revealed his body, but it's less well known that he was a murder victim. What could possibly have been the motive? Did he draw a mustache on someone else's cave painting?

Live To Be 150...Can You Do It? (ABC, 10 PM): Hosted by Barbara Walters, who has more than the usual reporter's curiosity about the question, this special explores what science is learning about aging, and how to prevent its less pleasant side effects. Interviews with high-achieving seniors are part of the mix.

Real Housewives of New York City(Bravo, 10 PM): Ramona gets her daughter ready for a school dance; chef Bethenny gives some food pointers to Alex.

The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen, 10 PM): Andrea begins to feel the stress of the lunatic situation she's living in; Tanisha decides to throw a slumber party.

The Riches (FX, 10 PM): Wayne tries to rally the depressed Hugh and keep Cael out of further trouble; a legendary Traveller (Jared Harris) is released from prison.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E, 10:30 PM): If the solution to your problem is Carrot Top, things just may be hopeless. Simmons calls the freakishly-bodied, alleged comedian to rescue him from the desert and get him to Vegas, while the Simmons ladies hunt down the last of the missing collectibles.
