8-11 pm: Doctor Who on Sci Fi

Catch the beginning of Season Three right here. First up is "The Runaway Bride," a Christmas Special that sees the Doctor team up with Catherine Tate (she of the "Am I bovvered?" catchphrase and eponymous sketch comedy series), a bride-to-be who vanishes from her wedding and appears on the TARDIS. Then it's the official Season Three premiere, "Smith and Jones," which introduces the Doctor's new traveling companion, Martha Jones, as this unwitting medical student and the Doctor are transported right into danger. Figures.

9 pm: Jericho

Break out the peanuts, true believers. CBS is re-airing resurrected drama Jericho from the beginning with the pilot episode tonight, in which Jake returns to Jericho just in time for a nuclear explosion.
