Top Dawg Entertainment Previews 2016 Releases For Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, And The Rest Of The Label

Plus, they might be signing new artists.

Back in late 2013, Top Dawg Entertainment's CEO, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, told fans that the label would be dropping six albums the following year. That would mean, it seemed, one from every artist signed to the label: Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SZA, and Isaiah Rashad.

That didn't quite happen -- but they came pretty close. The entire roster except Kendrick and Rock dropped either an album or an EP, and those two made up for it with their 2015 projects.

Now, Top has high hopes for 2016, too.

Nothing's set in stone here -- or even finished -- but it's an exciting update, no less. Albums from Soulo and Q look to be done, with the rest of the roster gearing up, too (the "???" next to K. Dot is no real surprise, though the fact that he's even listed under this year is).

There are two other standout tidbits on here, too: It looks like the label has signed and is developing two new artists; and there's a push for a Black Hippy album for 2017 -- though, just like rest of us, they're "praying" on that one.
