Kim Kardashian Shares A Vid From Her And Kanye West’s Cheesy First Date

This future power couple had shockingly normal beginnings.

It’s practically impossible to imagine a time before Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple. But every epic love story has its humble origin, and in Kimye’s case, it was freakishly humble. Like, you should take everything you know about the lavish-loving pair and chuck it out the window, because their first date was so normal that it bordered on “corny cliché.”

On Monday, Kim posted a throwback clip of her and Kanye playing the famous piano mat at toy megastore FAO Schwarz in New York City. Recreating Tom Hanks’ iconic scene from the 1988 movie Big, Kim and Kanye bust out a playful rendition of “Heart and Soul,” as Kim nimbly jumps from key to key. Her then-future husband, meanwhile, plays with the concentration of someone who has to prove himself as both a professional musician and a worthy new boyfriend. But is that a -- gasp! -- smile we see on ‘Ye’s face?! Clearly, he couldn’t help but be amused by the unexpected low-keyness of the Kimye origin story. Same, dude. Same.

The playful clip -- which is available in full on Kim’s website and app -- ultimately reminds us just how far this Krazy pair’s come in the past four years. Their daughter North was born in June 2013, and they got married almost a year later, in May 2014. In December of last year, they welcomed their first son, Saint, and now they’re continuing to rule the world, one tweet and one selfie at a time. #NeverForget where it all began, though.
