5 Seconds of Summer Are Having A Great Time With Pokémon In Japan

The boys are catching 'em all between shows.

5 Seconds of Summer are currently overseas in Japan on the Sounds Live Feels Live tour, and they’re taking the opportunity to soak up some local culture. Namely, Pokémon.

The band tweeted a series of photos and videos from inside a Pokémon merchandise store, where they lost their minds over the adorable plushies on display.

Calum proclaimed a stuffed Pikachu wearing a Slowpoke costume to be the cutest thing he had ever seen, then serenaded a bunch of Charmanders and Squirtles with the Creed song “With Arms Wide Open."

“Sometimes I get confused. Makes me feel old when I walk into the Pokémon store and see people like this,” tweeted Ashton, referring to a stuffed Venusaur. “Who are you? You were not on the show when I used to watch.” (Venusaur is one of the original 151 Pokémon, so he really must be confused.)

5SOS will be playing shows in Japan over the next week, so they’ll have plenty of time to catch ‘em all.
