Lady Gaga first "fell in love with" David Bowie, who died last month at age 69, when she was still just a little monster living on the Lower East Side. Now Mother Monster will get the opportunity to showcase her musical affection for the late music icon.

Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich confirmed in an interview with The New York Times that Gaga will perform a six-to-seven-minute set of "at least three or four" Bowie songs at the awards show on Feb. 15.

It "is going to be a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way," Ehrlich told the Times.

The "Til It Happens To You" singer was already booked to perform at the awards show, and given her attachments to Bowie, Gaga is a more than fitting selection as a solo act for the performance.

"I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls," Gaga told The Hollywood Reporter in a podcast interview last month.

The 58th annual Grammys will air on CBS on Feb. 15, 2016.
