Listen To David Bowie And Notorious B.I.G. Mash-Up 'Biggie Stardust'

Two late greats connect thanks to this mash-up.

Days after the passing of music icon David Bowie, a Notorious B.I.G. mash-up titled "Biggie Stardust" has emerged.

The track blends Frank White's "Dead Wrong" rhymes from Born Again with a remixed version of Bowie's "Moonage Dream" off The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The mash-up's cover also features a photo of Biggie with Bowie's hair and signature lightning bolt.

Terry Urban, who's earned acclaim for other B.I.G. mash-ups, is responsible for "Biggie Stardust." In the past, he’s also reworked Biggie vocals to tracks by Lana Del Rey and FKA Twigs.

Urban called this "a dedication for two artists that have influenced me greatly" on Twitter, where he also added the following hashtags: #RIPDavidBowie #RIPBiggie

As we pointed out earlier this week, Bowie was also previously sampled on a song that featured Frank White, Diddy's Ma$e-assisted "Been Around The World." And like we mentioned then, the Blackstar singer was also a fan of rap.

“The quality and significance of the social message has moved very much fundamentally to the Black and Hispanic market,” he said in a 1993 interview with "Today," when asked about hip-hop. “And that’s where the new force of music is coming from.”
