9 Things We Need From Lady Gaga At Golden Globes

Who's the cuter date: Taylor Kinney or Miss Asia?

On Sunday, January 10, Lady Gaga will make her debut on the Golden Globes carpet as an official nominee. The songstress was nominated for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for "American Horror Story: Hotel," alongside Kirsten Dunst ("Fargo"), Sarah Hay ("Flesh and Bone"), Felicity Huffman ("American Crime," not to be confused with "American Crime Story"), and Queen Latifah ("Bessie"), and of course, we at MTV News are pulling for her, hard. Not only to win, but to have the best time ever after a couple of notoriously rough years in the business.

Here is our Gaga-centric list of things we absolutely need to see:

A return to her 2010 aesthetic.

We know she's a much different woman than she was in 2010, so a meat dress probably isn't going to happen. But come on -- it's the Golden Globes! For us movie and TV lovers, it's Gaga's biggest carpet yet, because she'll be in the spotlight as a first-time acting nominee. It's time to bring back the "holy sh-t, what is Gaga wearing?" conversation from the era of Peak Gaga.

Those two are just the cutest. Obviously, we need as much of their PDA as possible.

Miss Asia Kinney.

Sorry, did I say that Gaga and Taylor were the cutest? Because I meant to say that their dog, Miss Asia Kinney, is the most adorable creature on all of Planet Earth, outside of that raccoon who lost his cotton candy. Dogs can walk the red carpet with you if you're famous enough, right?

It's never happened before. So, obviously, the time is now. It would bring the world great "Joy."

Watch What Happens Live - Season 10

The best part about the Golden Globes, throughout their long and sordid history, is their booze-friendly atmosphere. The last time we saw Gaga 100 percent tipsy (I think?) was on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," and she admitted to "swimming in the lady pond." It's time for more.

Copious moments with the "AHS" squad.

This one speaks for itself. We don't know for sure who else will actually be there since Gaga was the only cast member nominated for an acting award, but given that "AHS" was nominated for Best Miniseries, it's a pretty safe bet that a couple of them will be there. And of course, that squad is always looking fresh. Even when they're covered with blood.

Lady Gaga

Gaga is pretty much the realest when it comes to speaking her mind, whether it's about LGBT issues, anxiety and depression, music business f--kery, or something else. This has been the year for social justice clap backs, and we'd love to hear Gaga speak her mind to Ryan Seacrest.

A win?

Look, I can't lie and say that Gaga's performance out shined Dunst's in "Fargo." (I have not seen the other three nominated.) But I can say that she was pretty damn solid as The Countess, and if she does win, it'll be a blast watching her sure-to-be-fire acceptance speech. Slay, Mother Monster!

Happiness.

Lady Gaga

Sorry to be cheeseball, but it's true -- the Golden Globes are all about dressing up, having fun, and partying with the best and brightest in the business. Even if Gaga doesn't win, and even if the JLaw pic doesn't happen, we just want to see her have a total blast after a couple of crappy years in the music biz.
