There's A Round-The-Clock Hotline Where Someone Will Sing You Any Christmas Song You Want

A live rendition of 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' at 4 a.m. is a phone call away.

Have you ever just needed a little Christmas cheer? Maybe in the middle of the night? Luckily for you, this week, your prayers could be answered by a college in the Midwest.

From 12:00 midnight Dec. 10 until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 16, anyone can call hotline Dial-A-Carol to have a University of Illinois student sing any requested song.

University of Illinois' Snyder Hall has hosted the Christmas carol request line for more than 55 years -- and they show no signs of stopping, with plenty of students volunteering for the week-long, 24/7 service.

"Most students of the building participate, regardless of musical ability, religion, or the fact that it’s finals week," Kirsten Ruby, the university’s Associate Director of Housing for Communications, told The Washington Post.

Many of the students have volunteered up to 20 hours of their time in a single week, singing to strangers all over the country and the world.

"We've had callers from all over the world ... like India, Japan, China -- you name it," one of the volunteers remarked. "We even made it on an [English] radio show this morning."

Watch a little documentary for Dial-A-Carol below.

To call the carolers yourself, dial 217-332-1882 by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 16.
