Kristin Cavallari is in mourning.

The "Laguna Beach" and "Hills" alum shared the heartbreaking news on Thursday that her brother Michael had been found dead after reports of his disappearance surfaced over the weekend. According to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Utah police had been searching for the 30-year-old since November 27 after his vehicle was found abandoned five miles south of exit 175 on I-70.

"We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time," the mother of three told People. "We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

Shortly afterward, the shoe designer shared a tribute on Instagram with a touching photograph of the (younger) Cavallaris grinning for the camera.

"My heart is in a million pieces," Kristin wrote. "Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP."
