50 Cent Thinks Fetty Wap Deserves A Grammy, So He Gave Him One

Fif's giving out his own trophies on Instagram, just like Drake.

The Grammy nominations were announced this week, but 50 Cent has decided to pass out his own.

Fif hit Instagram today with an award for a fellow MC. "My Best New Artist Award goes to, Fetty Wap," 50 said on IG. "He put some real hits out this year. They're overlooking him. They did the same thing to me. Get Rich Or Die Tryin', 13 million copies sold."

Fetty wasn't nominated for the Best New Artist category, but he did earn nods with "Trap Queen" for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

50 was actually nominated for "Best New Artist" back in 2004, but lost to Evanescence. He's actually been nominated for several Grammys, but only took home one for 2009's “Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group,” which he shared with Eminem and Dr. Dre for “Crack A Bottle.”

Fif's choice to hand out Grammys is reminiscent of Drake's IG Grammys posts last year, when he dished out pretend trophies to his fellow MCs. He called it #HoodGrammys. “Grammys need to have a rap year,” Drizzy said. “Run it up.” He later rapped about it on "Blessings."

Looks like 50 took a page from Drizzy's book to give Fetty some praise. Now, will we be getting more trophies, Fif?

In any case, we should expect the MC's Kanan project to drop soon. Previously slated for Thanksgiving, this effort is now set to be unleashed tomorrow.
