The world met four elite gymnasts -- Kaylie Cruz, Payson Keeler, Lauren Tanner and Emily Kmetko -- on June 22, 2009, the premiere date for ABC Family's "Make It or Break It." The competitive athletes survived family drama, broken bones, heartbreak and more as they trained at Rocky Mountain Gymnastics Training Center ("The Rock") in Boulder, Colo.

The teammates flipped their way through competitions, but the TV show sadly lasted only three seasons. In the series finale, Kaylie, Payson, Lauren and newcomer Jordan Randall land spots on the U.S. Olympic team. This episode aired a few months before the actual 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where the real-life U.S. team -- Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber -- took home the gold for artistic gymnastics. Coincidence? I think not.

Here's what MIOBI cast has been up to since they hung out at The Rock:

Josie Loren, "Kaylie Cruz"

Now:

Like many of you, Loren is currently cramming away for finals. The UCLA alum -- she studied communications full-time while filming MIOBI -- went on to pursue entertainment law at Loyola Law School in L.A.

Despite being a student, she continues to act and support various charities. This includes her own initiative, the Keep It Kind nonprofit, which encourages small acts of kindness. She appeared in "21 & Over" in 2013, one year after MIOBI wrapped. In 2014 and 2015, she starred as Michelle Vega for the seventh and final season of CBS' crime drama "The Mentalist." And she remains part of the ABC Family crew! Last September, she was Sam on an episode of "Young & Hungry."

Cassie Scerbo, "Lauren Tanner"

Now:

Following her mean-girl-we-can't-help-but-feel-bad-for stint as Lauren Tanner, Scerbo appeared in numerous TV movies. Most notably, she played bartender Nova Clarke in Syfy's "Sharknado" (2013) and "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" (2015). She voiced Heidi Weinerman on Disney XD's cartoon "Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja" and briefly returned to ABC Family in 2014 as Heather on "Baby Daddy."

Scerbo serves as Vice President and an Executive Director at Boo2Bullying, an anti-bullying organization. Actress and radio host Tiffany Thornton -- you may know her as Tawni Hart from Disney Channel's "Sonny with a Chance" -- named Scerbo as the godmother for her two sons, KJ and Bentley. Thornton's husband and "twentyfourseven" alum, Chris Carney, tragically passed away earlier this month in a car accident. Scerbo has voiced her support for the family and is encouraging fans to donate to Carney's memory.

Ayla Kell, "Payson Keeler"

Kell has also stayed true to her ABC Family roots. She was Lilah on the channel's "Melissa & Joey" and appeared in a handful of TV movies. The actress has an especially exciting 2016 coming up, though. She stars in Michael Matteo Rossi's thriller "Sable." Oh, and she's totally down for a MIOBI reunion! ?

Fun fact: Kell and Sterling Knight -- yep, Chad Dylan Cooper from "Sonny" and "So Random!" -- have been dating since November. They met on the set of "Melissa & Joey," where they "hit it off right away." (Knight plays Zander Carlson on the show.) ADORABLE.

Chelsea Hobbs, "Emily Kmetko"

Now:

Hobbs, a standout character in MIOBI's first season, left the show towards the end of season 2 since her and her husband at the time, photographer Teren Oddo, were expecting their second child, Kingston. (Their daughter, Wylie, was born in 2006.)

Since then, Hobbs appeared in various TV movies -- are you sensing a pattern here? -- including a starring role on Lifetime's "The Trainer." Last year she played Caitlin on "Supernatural" and this past October, she was Laura Leighton in "The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story," which revealed key behind-the-scenes moments from "Melrose Place." Outside of acting, Hobbs is an independent consultant for skincare line Rodan + Fields.

Chelsea Royce Tavares, "Jordan Randall"

Now:

Earlier this month, the actress and singer-songwriter dropped a festive music video for "My Christmas Love," her song with Kylee Russell and Halle Russell of Dandridge. It's a fitting song that goes along with Tavares' role as Kelsey in TV One's "Royal Family Christmas," which premiered on Dec. 5. Last September, she played Riley, "that one cousin that shows up to show out," on "Welcome to the Family."

Tavares is also very active on Vine, where she posts everything from hilarious skits to rants to her daily life happenings.

Neil Jackson, "Sasha Belov"

Now:

Jackson is currently putting the finishing touches on his three-song EP, Taking Us Back. (This is also the title of his next single.) His debut album, The Little Things, dropped towards the end of MIOBI's last season. Bonus: the music video for "Holding A Candle" stars Chelsea Hobbs aka Emily! His next music vid, "Rocket To Mars" was released in February 2013.

Jackson keeps his website and YouTube updated with new music as he continues to act. His biggest recent acting gig was as Abraham Van Brunt on "Sleepy Hollow."

Candace Cameron Bure, "Summer van Horne"

Now:

Cameron Bure is D.J. Tanner again! She returned to her famous role this year for "Fuller House," Netflix's "Full House" revival that will launch next year on the streaming service. Tanner will be dealing with raising her three kids following the recent death of her husband, and Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler will join her a lá Uncles Jesse and Joey in the original show.

Following MIOBI, Cameron Bure competed on season 18 of "Dancing With The Stars," where she placed third with her partner Mark Ballas. Her second book, "Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose," and third book, "Dancing Through Life: Steps of Courage and Conviction," came out in 2014 and 2015, respectively. She co-hosts the most recent season of "The View."

Nicole Gale Anderson, "Kelly Parker"

Now:

The Disney Channel alum -- Anderson was on "Jonas L.A." before MIOBI -- stuck with ABC Family for the role of Miranda Collins on "Ravenswood," the channel's short-lived "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off. Now she's a regular cast member, Heather Chandler, on CW's "Beauty & the Beast."

Zachary Burr Abel, "Carter Anderson"

Now:

The MIOBI heartthrob recently played Tad in an "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode. While MIOBI aired, he appeared on CW's "90210" and MTV's "Awkward." According to his Twitter, he makes corny jokes and has zero shame blasting Justin Bieber. Sounds awesome to us!

Zane Holtz, "Austin Tucker"

Now:

The next MIOBI heartthrob -- OK, let's be real, all the dudes on that show were fine as hell -- took his acting chops to "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," "Workaholics" and "NCIS." Most recently, Holtz starred as Richie Gecko on El Rey Network's "From Dusk till Dawn: The Series." Oh, and he was in Demi Lovato's "Confident" music video this year. Casual.

Johnny Pacar, "Damon Young"

Now:

In 2013, Pacar released three songs -- "Give It Our Love," "You & Me" and "One Last Wish" -- and says he'll be making a music video soon. He's appeared in several TV movies and shorts since his ABC Fam days. His latest work is horror movie "The Remaining" alongside "Spy Kids" star Alexa Vega.

Josh Bowman, "Max Spencer"

Now:

Following MIOBI, Bowman was hunky series regular Daniel Grayson on ABC's "Revenge." (Maybe you've heard of it?) He's been dating his co-star Emily VanCamp, who plays Emily Thorne on the hit show, since 2011. Not bad, Max.
