When asked about the chances cult TV show "Fringe" would be renewed for another season, the show's star Joshua Jackson didn't exactly say "no" -- but he sure didn't say "yes" either! Jackson recently told EW:
"I’m a positive person in general, but we really need our Fringe fans to tune in and watch us on Fridays,” Jackson tells EW. “We did good when we first moved, but last week we did not have a good week, ratings wise. It is going to take the people that like the show to watch the show and start the campaign and show their support if they want to see us stick around for another season."
EW reports that while "Fringe" has actually been showing gains with the DVR crowd in its move to the current Friday timeslot, perhaps not enough fans are actually watching the show on Fridays. And with advertisers possibly more concerned about audience numbers on the actual day of broadcast rather than related to DVRs that can fast-forward past their commercials, maybe "Fringe" fans should make a concerted effort to all tune in on Fridays and support the show.
To that end, Project Fringe Friday is mobilized to spread awareness about their favorite show's new timeslot and get the fans out in droves to watch it. Watch Project Fringe's video "Fringe Is..." below, and don't forget to follow them on Twitter @FringeNetwork!
