Activist Chaz Stevens, the executive director of a group called The Humanity Fund, is planning to (literally) make its mark this holiday season -- according to a ArkansasMatters.com, on Monday (Nov. 30), Stevens submitted an application to erect a rainbow-colored "Festivus Pole" outside Arkansas' state capitol in Little Rock.

If you're unaware of Festivus' perfect magical glory, it's from Seinfeld, which yes -- you can watch on Hulu, my Millennial friends.

Stevens, who describes The Humanity Fund as "an advocacy organization dedicated to protecting and promoting freedom of speech and religion," has successfully erected Festivus Poles on state grounds in the past. But this year, he said he wanted to address the discrimination against the LGBT community, even after the Supreme Court's landmark ruling on marriage equality.

"The Humanity Fund believes in equal rights for all, with a focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights," Stevens wrote on the group's website. "We could not stand by while religious fanatics denied people their basic human rights and dignity, and watch in wonder as Kim Davis, and her followers, flaunt the law of the land."

MTV News spoke to Stevens, who told us about his decision to erect the pole. He feels it's an issue of both freedom of speech and religion, as just this year, the state decided to place a monument of The 10 Commandments on its grounds.

"It's crazy, isn't it?" Stevens said. "The fact that [Arkansas' government] think[s] The Ten Commandments is a historical document -- ludicrous, beyond ludicrous. Courts across the land have well established the fact that it's all or nothing. The premise is all or nothing -- if you open a forum up, allowing one religion in, you have to allow everybody in."

Recently, Stevens successfully erected a Gay Pride Festivus Pole in Delray Beach, Florida, AKA the home of my grandparents, who neglected to tell me about this holiday miracle. Ken and Edna, I am officially mad at you both. No, I will not set up your email at Christmas.

According to ArkansasMatters.com, here's what Stevens has applied for:

- Six foot tall Festivus pole

- Topped with an 8" disco ball

- Wrapped in the colors of the rainbow

- Mounted on a stand

- X-crossed pieces of wood approximately 2'x2'

While it's unclear whether or not the state will accept his submission, Stevens is hopeful that his pole with raise awareness -- and money -- for LGBT organizations, while making a ~point~.

Stevens said that he's still waiting on a few responses, though: He's contacted GOP presidential hopefuls Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz about his plans for future Festivus Poles. "Austin has a manger on the capitol grounds, so we've reached out to [Texas senator] Ted Cruz," he said.

Though he hasn't heard back from Huckabee or Cruz, Stevens says their silence isn't necessarily a bad thing. "Both campaigns haven't rejected me, and obviously, if you follow the polls, you know both can use the boost," he added.
