Kid Cudi's New Single Will Remind You To Smile About Your Falls

Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven drops later this week.

What's that saying about delivering bad news?

"Always drop a new song when you do it," or something, right? I think that's it.

It must be. Because that's the strategy Kid Cudi followed late Tuesday night when he hit his followers with an unfortunate update: He's canceling his tour. But then he followed that up by releasing a new song from his Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven album is due later this week.

On the album's title track, produced by Cudi and frequent collaborator Plain Pat, he channels a positive energy to guide through whatever circumstances: "Oh if I fall, oh if I fall/ Or if I glide, no matter the case, I'm all smiles, I'm all smiles," he sings.

Words to live by.

As for the tour? It sounds like it's more of a delay than a cancelation.

"Things weren't together production wise and I need a bit of time to make changes," Cudder wrote in a lengthy note posted on Twitter, adding that he's dealing with a lot in his personal life. "I'm upset and I'm sure some of you are, too."

He added: "I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces and feeling all your glorious love and energy at the top of next year."

See you then. And, of course, this Friday, when the album drops.
