Michael B. Jordan Wants To Be In The Ring For More 'Rocky' Movies

And we want more 'Rocky' movies with Michael B. Jordan.

How long can the "Rocky" series possibly endure? It all began with the original "Rocky" starring Sylvester Stallone as the struggling southpaw in 1976, and its latest installment, "Creed," made an estimated $42.6 million over the holiday weekend. If the longevity of the franchise were left to "Creed" star Michael B. Jordan, we'd be treated to a whole lot more of the boxing saga.

“A character so rich as this," Jordan told the AP in a new interview, "and the world he’s in, I want to see what happens to him next and what he does. Especially the way it ends off, it’s pretty cool. I think with success and time and circumstances, it would be exciting to come back and work with Sly and [costar] Tessa [Thompson] again.”

Jordan plays the Adonis Creed, son of Rocky's long-time nemesis in the ring, Apollo Creed.

Jordan is also up for working with "Creed" director Ryan Coogler again. Coolger also directed 2013's "Fruitvale Station," in which Jordan starred.

“Me and Ryan plan on doing films together for a long time,” Jordan told EW. “I think we push each other to be better. I think it goes down to our competitive nature."

Rocky and Apollo would be so proud.
