This is Coldplay like you've never seen them before.

Thanks to Coldplay, we now know the answer to one extremely pressing question: What happens when you give a monkey some Beats portable speakers?

They jam the f—k out, apparently.

During their performance at last Sunday’s American Music Awards, Coldplay were joined onstage by a group of dancing apes. Now, in their new video for the shimmering single “Adventure of A Lifetime,” the band brings the jungle theme full circle by doing some serious monkeying around. As in, they literally become CGI-animated apes and start an impressively well-choreographed dance party in the jungle.

The Mat Whitecross-directed vid took six months to make and boasts CGI animation credits from Andy Serkis, the actor who portrayed Gollum in the “Lord of the Rings” series and Caesar in the “Planet of the Apes” films.

“Adventure of A Lifetime” is the first single from the band’s forthcoming album, A Head Full of Dreams, due Dec. 4. The new video comes just a day after the band premiered their gorgeous new ballad “Everglow,” featuring vocals by Chris Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
