Today's shaping up to be a busy day for S.H.I.E.L.D. The trailer for this fall's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has been followed by a campaign to unlock more footage, the reveal of the Rising Tide blog, and real-life director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Joss Whedon joining Twitter.

The show's website, agentsofshield.com, promises to reveal an extended trailer... once it's unlocked. Fans can unlock the extended trailer by tweeting #CoulsonLives. Right now the #CoulsonLives-O-Meter is stuck at 23%, so populate that hash tag, Twitterites!

By clicking on the "proceed" button on the website, you're taken to a seemingly in-universe blog called Rising Tide, which features "found footage" of Marvel heroes like the Hulk and Iron Man. We previously got a glimpse of the Hulk footage last week. The blog's tone is super conspiracy-theory-ish, coming from the point of view of hacktivists trying to out S.H.I.E.L.D. The site urges you to "spread the word," which you should do while using the hash tag #CoulsonLives.

So far Joss Whedon hasn't tweeted #CoulsonLives, but he has used a few other hash tags (like #syphilis). The "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." co-showrunner took to Twitter eleven hours ago, already amassing close to 50K followers. The account hasn't been verified by Twitter yet, but it has been verified by fellow "S.H.I.E.L.D." showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen. Here's a sample Joss tweet:
