'Man Of Steel' Second TV Spot Arrives

The marketing for "Man of Steel" continues to get better and better as we get closer to the movie's release date. Following yesterday's poster, a new TV spot has been released that teases Superman's journey in the upcoming movie.

Like the poster, the spot focuses on the titular Man of Steel's flight and how awesome it is. One shot in particular, where Superman zooms by and is followed by some government planes, is especially effective and foreboding. Trailers for "Man of Steel" have shown time and again that Superman doesn't have an easy time ingratiating himself with the US government after he comes out as a superhero, and that is definitely teased in this shot.

But the teaser also shows Superman's birth and the influence his real father, Jor-El, will have on his life. It will be interesting to see how "Man of Steel" balances the relationships Superman has with both his real and adopted fathers, which seems like it could be a big theme in the new film.

Directed by Zack Snyder, "Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner and Christopher Meloni. It's due in theaters on June 14.
