If you, like me, thought Anne Hathaway was the best part of "The Dark Knight Rises," you're not the only one. In fact, you're in very good company indeed: none other than the President of the United States counts himself among the big Selina Kyle fans.

Earlier this week at a Connecticut fundraiser hosted by Harvey Weinstein, President Obama gave his brief, to-the-point review of "Rises," singling out Hathaway's performance as the movie's highlight.

"She's spectacular," he said, according to Deadline. "I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion."

Obama's personal opinion is one that many filmgoers share. Not only did Hathaway's Selina rank number one on our list of the greatest "Dark Knight Rises" characters (and number two overall of the "Dark Knight" trilogy's rogues), but reviewers have been especially kind towards the actress' work in the Christopher Nolan directed picture.

"As Selina Kyle – the film never refers to her as Catwoman, but she's called The Cat in a newspaper headline – Anne Hathaway injects a slinky, impish mischief, a welcome note of flamboyance that pricks the otherwise remorselessly sombre tone," SFX Magazine's Nick Setchfield wrote of Hathaway in his review. "All inkpool eyes, lips and attitude, she mixes the moxie of classic Hollywood heroines with a perfect fusion of the character's earlier incarnations: Julie Newmar's purring ‘60s saucepot, Michelle Pfeiffer's empowered ‘90s dominatrix, the impoverished burglar of Batman Year One."
