New Superman Pics Show General Zod, Clark Kent In Action!

If you're a fan of set photos, particularly the kind taken by casual fans who happen upon film productions, this year has been one of the best in recent memory for early glimpses of our favorite actors in costume, in action during filming of some of the most anticipated blockbusters.

So far we've seen pics from "The Avengers," "The Amazing Spider-Man," "The Dark Knight Rises" and now some more from "Man Of Steel."

Latino Review has a bunch of new pics that show General Zod (Michael Shannon) clad in a form-fitting black suit, which appears to be similar in texture to Superman's .

Shannon has said that wearing the form-fitting suits is not fun, particularly the motion capture suits, which he called "humiliating." Meanwhile, the Academy Award nominee told MTV News earlier this week that he's nervous about this high profile gig and that he promises he'll be doing an original portrayal of Zod.

"I'm not going to impersonate Terence Stamp. I'm not going to have a British accent or anything," he said, referring to the esteemed actor who played the Kryptonian baddie in the original films. "All I can say is it's very well written and there's a lot of great opportunities to reinvent it for myself. The challenge is for me to do that. There's nothing holding me back. I think they're counting on me to give my interpretation. I'll do the best I can."
