'Dark Knight Rises' Trailer: What's Next?

"The Dark Knight Rises" trailer took the web by storm yesterday, and it's no wonder why: between the introduction of Bane, the possible retirement of Batman and the likely destruction of Gotham City, all signs are pointing towards an epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

We already ran down the new "Dark Knight" trailer's highlights, but it's never too early to start thinking about what we want to see next. After the jump, check out the five things we're most looking forward to seeing from the next trailer!

Catwoman

We got our first good look at Tom Hardy as Bane in the new trailer, but where's Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle? The Oscar nominated actress and former Oscar host is Bruce's newest feline fatale in "Dark Knight Rises," and after hearing some Catwoman costume descriptions, we can't wait to see her in action.

League Of Shadows

"Rises" is clearly taking a few cues from its predecessor, "Batman Begins," perhaps most notably with the potential reintroduction of the League of Shadows (not Assassins, as I was corrected yesterday—I've got my continuities mixed up!). The presence of Ra's al Ghul's voice over combined with the eerie chanting has at least one blogger (see: me) believing that the League is here to take Gotham down once and for all.

Gotham's Destruction

While we're on the subject, can we please find out what exactly is happening to Gotham City? Between the hospitalized Jim Gordon and the crumbling cityscape that is the centerpiece of the "Rises" poster and trailer, it's clear that Batman's not-so-fair city is in for a rough time. Here's hoping the next trailer provides some insight into the carnage.

To The Batcave

Bruce's mansion, and thereby his Batcave, got decimated in "Batman Begins." Years have passed since then. Just like the Dark Knight, so too must the Batcave rise. It's been way too long since we've seen the masked vigilante's underground headquarters (sorry subterranean penthouse, you don't count), and with only one Nolan-helmed Batman movie ahead of us, it's time to bring the Bat back to his home.

More Bane

Specifically, more of that Bane versus Batman fight. Because that. Looks. AWESOME.
