"X-Men: First Class" hits theaters in just under a month, taking Professor X and Magneto back to their early days and introducing a new group of mutants to the live-action "X-Men" universe.
However, while fans of Marvel's famous mutants might be well acquainted with some of the characters in the film, there are a few new mutants joining the fray — and a few characters who received a tweak or two on their way to the big screen. That's why we're thrilled to offer you an exclusive video introduction to three of the "First Class" mutants: Banshee, Havok, and Beast.
Played by Caleb Landry Jones, the mutant known as Banshee is actually Sean Cassidy, whose power manifests itself in a powerful "sonic scream" that he can use as a weapon or — as you can see in the introduction trailer — a method of flight.
Next up is Alex Summers, the mutant known as Havok:
Played by Lucas Till, Havok is able to generate powerful "plasma blasts" that — as you can also see in the trailer — he has difficulty controlling. He's eventually outfitted with a uniform that allows him to focus the energy he releases from the his body into a powerful beam. Till recently offered up some details about his character's power and the tragic way it first manifests itself.
The third of our exclusive character introductions focuses on Hank McCoy, the mutant known as Beast who's familiar to fans of the original "X-Men" franchise — though "X-Men: First Class" offers a closer look at how he became the blue-furred hero last seen in 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand."
Played by Nicholas Hoult, Beast reveals the true nature of his mutation in the above trailer, and we get a peek at the drastic changes he underwent in his early years with Charles Xavier.
So there you have it, X-Men fans! Make sure to keep it locked to MTV Splash Page for more "X-Men: First Class" news as it develops!
