Mark Ruffalo Dons Hulk Hands For 'Avengers' Preview, Describes Iron Man & Hulk's Relationship

With news that "The Avengers" began filming last week, fans and media alike are eager to know what they can expect from Marvel's superhero team-up blockbuster — and will go to great lengths to get a glimpse.

When MTV News interviewed actor Mark Ruffalo about his role as the Hulk in "The Avengers", we surprised him with an offer to don some "Hulk Hands." After some initial surprise, Ruffalo was excited to put on the green-skinned gauntlets to give fans an early peek at his portrayal of Marvel's green-skinned goliath.

During the interview, Ruffalo also confirmed that, in addition to playing Bruce Banner, he will have some key lines as Hulk, too.

"There will be memorable lines," the actor said. "One of them, actually, is very memorable."

Although Ruffalo wouldn't say if he'll utter the famous "Hulk Smash!" he did say that he's looking forward to the interplay between his Bruce Banner character and Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr.

"[Bruce is] the fallen angel version of Tony Stark," the actor explained. "He was the renegade professor who was kind of a rebel; arrogant, doing things that were unorthodox. There's a real admiration between those two that's really interesting."

"Tony Stark really enjoys the idea of watching this guy turn into the Hulk," he added. "He's nudging him in an interesting sort of way; there's lots of nice, fun play between the two of them."
