Michael Clarke Duncan To Voice Kilowog in 'Green Lantern'

There have been rumors about Michael Clarke Duncan voicing Kilowog for weeks, and now The Hollywood Reporter has been able to report that it’s more than just potential casting. The site indicated that the offer was extended to Duncan on Tuesday and the Oscar-nominated actor is now in negotiations for the role.

This comes two weeks after it was announced that Geoffrey Rush would provide the voice of the alien Corps member Tomar-Re.

Of course, we can’t be too surprised about Duncan getting the role. Last year, we suggested him as a possible actor for this role.

Duncan is perhaps best known for his job as the gentle giant John Coffey in “The Green Mile,” but he also has voice credits under his belt, having been a voice actor for such movies as Disney’s “Brother Bear” and DreamWorks’ “Kung-Fu Panda.” He also played The Kingpin in 2003's "Daredevil" and voiced the character in the "Spider-Man" animated series that premiered that year.

What’s your opinion of Michael Clarke Duncan for the voice of Kilowog? Do you think he’ll be perfect, or were you picturing someone else? Let us know in the comments section or on Twitter!
