Are you a young photojournalist looking to land an amazing picture? Or perhaps an evil supervillain looking to find a wonderful hero to oppose? Well, today’s your lucky day. We now know where to find Spider-Man and Wonder Woman.
On Location Vacations, a website that collects filming locations for television and film productions, has revealed that the newest incarnations of both Spider-Man and Wonder Woman (Andrew Garfield and Adrianne Palicki, respectively) will be shooting in Los Angeles and New York very soon.
For the “Wonder Woman” pilot, the time is now.
Sent yesterday from their Twitter account, OLV reports, “Wonder woman is filming around 555 s flower st in l.a. tomorrow.” Further information via the OLV website says the shooting is taking place between 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, March 15.
On their shooting calendar , OLV also has the “Wonder Woman” pilot set for shooting March 29-31 as well and indicates which areas of Los Angeles will be closed for the production.
On March 29 and 30, Hollywood Blvd., between Orange Dr. and Highland Ave. seem to be the intended target area with full overnight closure of those streets. “Eastbound lanes will be closed starting at 4 p.m., followed by the westbound lanes at 7 p.m.,” writes OLV. “All lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. Additionally, the north and south curb lanes will close starting at 7 a.m. and will remain closed for the duration of the three day shoot.”
As for the other days, Wednesday, March 30, starting at 4:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 31, starting at 7:00 a.m. Eastbound lanes of Hollywood Blvd., between Las Palmas Ave. and Orange Dr., will be closed from 4 p.m., reopening around 7 p.m.
No actual word yet on if “Wonder Woman” stars Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley, Cary Elwes, Pedro Pascal or Tracie Thoms will be on hand for the shoot outside the famous Kodak Theater or if this is just second-unit work, but the potential for our first look at Palicki in costume is obvious.
The information isn’t nearly as detailed for “The Amazing Spider-Man” crew shooting in New York City but as soon as they’re here I’m sure the information will spread like wildfire.
As of right now, OLV’s Twitter report says,” FYI: The Amazing Spider-Man will tentatively begin shooting in NYC around April 30. Currently filming in L.A.
Also no word on which actors will be present for the shoot, the first Spider-Man movie to be filmed in 3-D. “The Amazing Spider-Man stars Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary and Rhys Ifans and is set for release July 3, 2012.
