Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is 'Honored And Flattered' To Be In 'Spider-Man' Movie Discussion

We've made no secret of the fact that we'd love to see "500 Days of Summer" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a "Spider-Man" movie (even though he's a bit old to play a teenage Peter Parker). Now, with "500 Days" director Marc Webb rumored to be Sony's favorite contender for the "Spider-Man" reboot, the notion that Gordon-Levitt could actually become your friendly neighborhood webslinger is a real possibility.

So, when we caught up with Gordon-Levitt on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet, we had to ask: Has he had any meetings with Sony that we should know about?

"You and your movie gossip," laughed Gordon-Levitt. "It's a fun conversation to have with you...It's like a game of chess."

While the actor seemed as agile as Spider-Man himself as he deftly avoided questions about the much-anticipated reboot, he did admit that he was honored to be mentioned in connection with the film.

"I'm honored and flattered that you would ask me that," he smiled.
