Katee Sackhoff To Launch 'Versus' Comic At San Diego Comic-Con

Sackhoff told TV Guide last week that she'd be announcing a new project entitled, "Versus" with co-creator and screenwriter Sxv'Leithan Essex at next summer's San Diego Comic-Con International.

Apparently her multiple convention appearances have rubbed off on the actress, who shared a few of her earliest comic book reading memories and noted a potential writing influence.

“I grew up reading 'Betty & Veronica,” Sackhoff told TV Guide. “I was obsessed with it. Every time that we would go on an airplane or on a car trip I would go and get them and now I've become a fan of just the genre in general. It really makes me excited. I'm a huge fan of [comics writer and television producer] Jeph Loeb. I’ve read all his work and I think he’s phenomenal. And I love all the Superman stuff he's done.”

With only a conflict-infused title to go off of, "Versus" remains a bit enigmatic. Given Sackhoffs history in science fiction, drama and action, it may be safe to assume the inclusion of at least one of those elements in her upcoming comics work, along with the kind of illustration talent her connections are capable of obtaining. Whatever the case, stay tuned to Splash Page for more updates.
