Miley Cyrus No Match For 'Mamma Mia!' Soundtrack On 'Billboard' Chart

After five weeks of slowly climbing up Billboard's top 200, the "Mamma Mia!" soundtrack has finally reached the top, bumping Sugarland's Love on the Inside from #1 to #3, on the strength of nearly 130,700 scans (the country duo sold 91,400 units). The soundtrack actually sold more copies last week (around 137,800), but thanks to generally sluggish sales, the set moves from #3 to #1 on next week's chart. Wedged in between "Mamma Mia!" and Sugarland, we find "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus' LP Breakout, which, after three weeks in stores, continues to generate impressive scans, this week adding another 102,400 units to its tally; all told, that offering has sold exactly 636,800 copies.

Also in the top 10 are Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus, which holds for a third straight week at #4 with 90,300 sold, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, which finishes fifth with 67,100 scans, and Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, which comes in at #6 with 55,400 copies snatched up. The "Camp Rock" soundtrack is in the #8 slot with another 47,100 scans, while Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad returns to the top 10 at #9, selling 43,900 units.

A total of 22 new releases enter next week's chart, with two debuting in the top 10. R&B crooner Lloyd's Lessons in Love is the week's highest-charting newcomer, opening at #7 with 51,000 copies sold, while country singer Heidi Newfield's What Am I Waiting For bows at #10 with 34,400 scans. Another country artist, Keith Anderson, follows at #12, as his C'Mon! generated 31,900 in week-one sales, and Bright Eyes mastermind Conor Oberst's self-titled solo LP pops up at #15 with 28,500 sold.

Trapt's Only Through the Pain debuts at #18 with 24,600 copies leaving record stores, while Hawthorne Heights' Fragile Future trails in the #23 hole with 20,500 scans. Norma Jean's The Anti Mother opens at #29, selling a reported 16,200, while Randy Newman's Harps & Angels lands at #30 with 15,800 in sales. Circa Survive frontman Anthony Green's solo debut, Avalon, enters at #44 with 11,800 sold, the Faint's Fasciinatiion bows at #46 with 11,300 sold and Re-Up Gang's Clipse Presents: Re-Up Gang follows at #55, selling 9,800 units.
