We're Obsessed With Lee Pace In 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2'

Forget for a moment about all those vampires named Cullen and the werewolves who aid them. We've given "Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner enough attention over the years, don't you think? And due to the fact that plenty of folks will be focused on them this weekend when the franchise finale arrives in theaters, I feel it is my duty to once again point out scene-stealer Lee Pace, who I have obsessed over since his casting.

Why is Lee a scene-stealer? Well for those who've committed Stephenie Meyer's books to memory, he has some of the best lines in "Breaking Dawn," plain and simple. My personal favorite is: "If we live through this, I'll follow you anywhere woman," which Lee delivers with a throaty half-growl and is wonderfully adapted into the film directly from the novel. There are also a few bonus lines added in by screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, one of which involves an amusing Paul Revere impression.

Another thing to love about Lee's performance is the raw and refreshing masculinity he brings to the role. There's a swoon-worthy je ne sai quois about the way he moves that is far more untamed and interesting than the statue-like, reserved restraint often on display by the Cullen clan. And of course it doesn't hurt that he is a tall, handsome drink of water. If I had to pick one favorite thing about "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Lee Pace's performance is it.

If you're new to the Lee fan club, check out a few of his other equally engaging performances in the sweet and moving Indie "Ceremony," Tarsem's stunning visual fantasy "The Fall," as well as the TV series "Pushing Daisies."
