Demi Lovato Gives Us A Peek Into Her Wardrobe Closet On The 'Camp Rock 2' Tour

By George Loomis

We’re still wondering what Demi Lovato's R&B transformation will be like on her new LP, but the budding pop star’s obsession with Rihanna has already made its mark on her current tour.

When MTV News caught up with Demi to chat about choosing looks for her solo set -- as well as her "Camp Rock 2" tunes as Mitchie -- the actress/singer cited the Rated R songstress as a major inspiration.

“I feel like it’s more Rihanna than Lady Gaga. I’m a huge Rihanna fan and I also love spikes and anything leather,” Demi said of her style influences, before revealing heavy metal jewelry for the show. “And I have this crazy jewelry. Actually this one [ring] is pretty crazy [with all its spikes], and the bracelets have twice as many spikes. Overall, I guess you can say there’s a ton of spikes in my wardrobe.”

Aside from the spikes, Demi kept in mind that choosing for her persona as Mitchie would be different from choosing for her solo set. Regarding Mitchie’s taste, Demi presented a sparkly teal dress and sky-high Ruthie Davis heels. “This is for one of the ‘Camp Rock’ looks that I sing the duet [‘Wouldn’t Change a Thing’ with Joe Jonas] in, and here are the crazy shoes also,” she said. “I mean they’re not crazy like Lady Gaga, but for me they are. I’ve never performed in stilettos, so we’ll see how this goes.”

Speaking of Lady Gaga, an edgy black and feather dress from Demi’s solo set reminded MTV of the self-proclaimed Mother Monster herself. “It’s a dress and I’ve never really performed my own set in a dress before,” Demi dished at a rehearsal last week. “So I’m excited.”

Showing off yet another dress -- this one multi-colored with a bronze jacket -- Demi explained, “Here’s another ‘Camp Rock’ dress. Not something I would typically wear, but my character would.” Demi also revealed the highly extensive process of nailing down so many styles for her two separate stage identities.

“When it comes to picking out outfits for the tour, I had a rack that filled out an entire warehouse,” Demi shared, to the marvel of young female shoppers everywhere. “I just went through it and it took me like six, seven hours to fit all the outfits for the tour. It was fun!” Even if Drake and Trey Songz leave her hanging, Demi will always get what she wants in terms of clothes!

Would you have picked similar styles if you were Demi, and when/where are you planning on catching the “Camp Rock” tour?
