Newlywed Megan Fox Is Skeptical Of Hollywood Marriages: 'Both People Have To Be Strong'

Megan Fox has been riding the cynical train and says marriages in Hollywood just don’t last these days. Well, "insert foot in mouth here," because the 23-year-old recently got hitched in Hawaii to longtime boyfriend Brian Austin Green, stopping the pessimistic trolley dead in her tracks (because well, isn’t Megan technically considered a celebrity herself?).

The former “Transformers” starlet, who’s never shy of providing some tongue-in-cheek comments, told next week’s issue of Steppin Out magazine that stars definitely become spoiled by the Hollywood perks making it easier to (as that popular Jay-Z song says) move “on to the next one."

“Whatever you want you have at your fingertips,” Megan told the magazine. “So for a lot of people, that temptation is just too much. You lose the ability to cherish something else because there are so many others out there just waiting for you."

We’re pretty sure the “Fox”-y actress is considered to be one of the sexiest young stars of the moment, so if it’s one thing Megan’s got- its options! (Keep an eye on this one, Brian!)

While Megan recognizes that divorce is not only exclusive those in the entertainment industry, she says famous couples are exposed to problems “normal” couples would never have to confront.

"I think couples generally aren't staying together. The divorce rate is so high right now," she explained in the interview. "[T]he couples that you see in the tabloids are being reported about even when there's not even a problem. Being on cover after cover after cover, the relationship becomes even harder to maintain than it normally is; which isn't easy to begin with.”

Tabloid fodder is something that is definitely not new to this high-profile couple. After breaking off their engagement in 2006 and a brief break-up in 2009, gossips columns went mad with reports about the on again/ off again couple.

“Your life being out there in the open is almost unbearable," Megan said. "Both people have to be incredibly strong people to make it through that. It's sad, and I think the media is responsible for a lot of it. At least for planting the seed. Like I said earlier, actors are very insecure people to begin with."

Seems Megan’s lost a lot of faith in celeb nuptials and well after reading this interview, (let’s just say for Brian’s sake) we hope the "90210" hunk prepared a solid prenup!

Do you agree with Megan's point of view on celebrity marriages? Why or why not?
